• Daredevil #248 (1987) Wolverine investigates the murder of a mutant by Bushwacker; Bushwacker's wife asks for Matt Murdock's protection from Wolverine.
• X-Factor Annual #2 (1987) X-Factor, Power Pack and the Inhumans take on Maximus the Mad; Quicksilver decides to make amends for his behaviour.

• Daredevil #249 (1987) Daredevil and Wolverine disagree over how to take down Bushwacker.
• X-Factor #18(pp.6-22)-19 (1987) Cameron Hodge betrays X-Factor; Apocalypse sends War, Pestilence and Famine to attack New York.

• Alpha Flight #52-53 (1987) Wolverine aids Alpha Flight against the Derangers.

• New Mutants #55-58(pp.1-16) (1987) The New Mutants help Lila Cheney; the team tackle the Hellions, then rescue a strange young mutant called Bird-Brain.
• Uncanny X-Men #221-222 (1987) The X-Men rescue Madelyne Pryor (Cyclops' estranged wife) from the Marauders in San Francisco.

• Power Pack #33 (1987) Power Pack and Spider-Man try to convince Sunspot to rejoin the New Mutants.
• Uncanny X-Men #223-224 (1987) Crimson Commando, Super Sabre and Stonewall join Freedom Force as they're sent to bring in the X-Men; the Adversary tricks Storm into releasing him onto the earthly plane.

• X-Factor #21-23 (1987) Cameron Hodge leads the Right in an attack on X-Factor's headquarters; Death becomes leader of the Horsemen of Apocalypse; Apocalypse teleports X-Factor aboard his Ship.
• Incredible Hulk #340 / Uncanny X-Men #225 (1988) Wolverine fights the grey Hulk on the way to Dallas; Freedom Force try to arrest the X-Men when they arrive in Dallas during FALL OF THE MUTANTS.
