PHALANX COVENANT (1994-1995)

And I finally found the time to pick up the (ALMOST) COMPLETE X-MEN UNIVERSE READING ORDER from where I left off. Welcome back! Last time, I covered the wedding of the two dullest X-Men - Cyclops and Phoenix - during what was a pretty uneventful period for Marvel's mutants.

This time, the fan is pelted with excrement as the X-Men's unwitting war with the Phalanx takes hold. But where is everybody...?

PLUS: Deadpool returns! Generation X are born! And Wolverine teams up with the Punisher and Ghost Rider... again!

  • Excalibur #78-81 (1994) First appearance of Douglock; a Phalanx who looks like Doug Ramsey joins Excalibur; Moira MacTaggert and Professor X come close to hooking back up while working on a cure for the Legacy Virus.
  • X-Force #35-37 (1994) X-Force face-off against a new mutant-hunting Nimrod robot and those tedious Externals that nobody liked.
  • X-Factor #103-105 (1994) Malice possesses Havok and Polaris to make them fight each other; Malice dies, allowing them to join forces against Mister Sinister and the Nasty Boys; Havok and Val Cooper return to X-Factor.

  • X-Men #35 (1994) Back in the present, SHIELD task Cyclops and Phoenix with helping the reality-warping Sunset Grace.
  • Uncanny X-Men #316 / X-Men #36 / Uncanny X-Men #317 / X-Men #37 (1994) First appearance of Blink, M, Skin and Synch; the X-Men are kidnapped by the Phalanx, leaving it up to Banshee, Emma Frost, Sabretooth and Jubilee to locate the next generation of mutants before those freaky aliens during PHALANX COVENANT: GENERATION NEXT.
  • Wolverine #85 (1994) Wolverine, Cable, Cyclops and Phoenix begin their mission to rescue the missing X-Men during PHALANX COVENANT: FINAL SANCTION.
  • X-Factor #106 / X-Force #38 / Excalibur #82 (1994) Held away from the X-Men, the three mutant other mutant teams interrupt the Phalanx as they attempt to conquer Earth during PHALANX COVENANT: LIFE SIGNS.
